Did you know that Iligan City Public Plaza, Iliganons called “plaza” in shorter term, is one of the best places to visit? Many events are being held on the plaza like the Iligan Night Market that takes place during Friday and Saturday night, Sangka sa Awit ug Sayaw , an event which amateur singers and dancers compete with a prize, the Annual Celebration of the Chartered City, Iligan which is held during July 16th, and many important events.
At the back of the plaza stage, you will find the Tourism Information Office , dancers having their rehearsals for a dance event, and etc, you will find also the public toilet which is accessible to everyone for a fine of two pesos. There is also a line of food stands or restaurants at the left-side portion of the plaza, if you’re facing the stage. The plaza itself was embraced with different buildings and establishments like the Iligan City Police Office, Iligan City Fire Department, local banks, food establishments, money exchanger store, a classy hotel, cell-phone store and many more. Before the plaza was built, it was used to be as a playground for children, as the time passes by, it was, then, transformed into a tourist-attraction plaza.

Iligan City Public Plaza was a place for fun, excitement and a place in which you can enjoy laughing with your friends.

As being a blogger and a resident of Iligan City, I would like also thank Mr. Joshua Dave Tonido, a world-class photographer (hahaha), for his camera, capturing the angle, and also I directed the best angles possible to create the perfect view of the Iligan City Public Plaza.
How to get there?
Ask the driver of the jeepney to make a stop on the plaza, most of the jeepney routes will pass on the plaza so no worries on getting there.
