El Lauriento Swimming Pools formerly Holiday Swimming Pool

    Main Pools
Are you feeling tired, exhausted, or something that you want to have some place to relax? Well this is the right place to go to. It's El Lauriento Swimming Pools formerly Holiday Swimming Pools it is located in Timoga, Buru-un, Iligan City. I don't know why it changed the name from Holiday Swimming Pools, maybe because of the new management. They are open from 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM.

It is one of the most visited place in Iligan City and also from outside from Iligan City. The place is good for special events like birthday parties, baptismal parties or any type of event that you can hosted in. The entrance fee of the pool area is only P 50.00. Well, the entrance is affordable to everyone who wants to get in, and by the way, there is no time limit, so you can stay and enjoy how long you want.

They also enforcing no running, no drinking, no eating around the poolside area to keep the pool clean.

    Cottage
The cottages differs from sizes, they have dining-table size and also the cottage one which can hold for more than 10, I think. Well, upon entering the swimming pool, you were required a cottage or table fee. If you want a bigger one or more than 10, then you can choose the cottage size or many dining-table size and connect them. But I prefer the cottage one since it can save money and the size is enough for everyone who wants to avail. If you have few friends just to enjoy the pool, you can avail the dining-table size, it seems it can fit 4-6 members on the table. What if you want a larger and bigger size? Well, you can avail the function room like area. This was specially for private events like baptismal, private parties or etc.

    Pool
I think they are around 4 or 5 pools. It has a 6.5 deep pool but it has no diving board on it :(. Well, if you know how to swim then dip in then swim and swim around it. They also have 4 sliding board located on the 4.5 - 5 feet deep pool. This pool is most favored by the people because you have the opportunity to slide in to the board with your friends or by yourself so that you have a big splash to the pool. What if you have a child or a group of children? Well, don't be worry, they have a 1 - 3 feet deep pool which children can enjoy the pool. These were located at the very top portion and the left side portion of the area and also they have a sliding areas which kids can enjoy also. They are categorized as adult sized and kiddie sized pools.

    Food
How can I buy food? Well, you can purchase them inside the resort and also the outside. Foods that are available inside the resort are mostly snack food, soft-drinks, paper plates, plastics spoon & fork and etc. Foods that are also available outside are lechon manok*, puso (rice wrapped in coconut leaves), soft-drinks, snack foods and etc. Food prices is cheaper when you buy outside the pool than the inside, there is a range from 1-2 peso difference. What if I want to cook inside the resort? Well, they have cooking and grilling stations (that's what I call) which you can use them for no charge for free as long as you have the charcoal for cooking. You can buy them outside the resort.

    Transportation
How can I get there? Since the resort is way far to the main city proper, you can have a taxi, a jeepney that has a route of Buru-un line (this is the only route that can get you to the resort), well you can ask people where it is located.
Transportation fee ranges from 12 - 15 pesos, you can see the fee on the fare matrix on the jeepney. And also, if you have a car, make sure that your car is properly geared, check the brakes, engines are performing smoothly and adequate supply of fuel because going to the resort is far and the only road you can arrive there is only using the national highway, so be cautious on traveling, and follow the road regulations so that you will not have an accident.
