Have you ever though that Anahaw Amphitheater is one of the places in Iligan that helds it's Kasadya Street Dance Competition annually? Well, this is the place.
Well, why did I choose Anahaw Amphitheater?
Anahaw Amphitheater is the best location for events as if you're watching a stage play. The theater itself has it's own basketball court which you can enjoy the place. The area also is one of the favorite locations to shoot from the photographers as their subject.
TRAVEL
How do I get to the Anahaw Amphitheater? As far as I know, the place is accessible thru private car, motorcycle, bicycle, a Public Utility Jeepney or hiking. But cars are prohibited to enter the inside portion of the amphitheater according to the local officials, I think.
It's not "only" the amphitheater but also you can visit the City Hall just above from the theater if you have an appointment there. They also have a mini-park just in-front of the City Hall Building, in case you want to see the city proper of Iligan.
What about the road going up above the City Hall or the theater itself? There are two options going to your destination.
1. Road. You can use the road by a car, PUJ. Actually, there are many options going up. You can enjoy while the vehicle is moving. Arrival to the hall or the theater is like also a 1 minute ride.
2. Staircase. Use this if you have strong knees and guts going up. Climbing the 100-step stair is breathtaking challenge and it's not a easy one, in some cases, you forced yourself to pause in a moment to take a breath and continue going. The stairs are used to make body(usually foot-power) exercise during sunrise; best for respiratory and circulatory exercise. Quite good is'nt it?
